The average scores of most people were, as I remember, significantly lower than last year's NGADM. Not so many 9+ scores this round.

Hey... you told me in a comment last year that you aren't a math person! And then you did this!
I actually ran the spreadsheet again this year -- the averages I got for the judges disagree with yours by some decimal points but nothing significant. And I didn't find enough interesting things to warrant me doing a post like I did last year (i.e. none of the judges were particularly more impactful than others, they mostly moderately agree on things, etc).
One thing that I thought was noteworthy is that we now have 6 "undeserving" losers (i.e. scores in the top 16 but not advancing). A contest of such format (64 grouped into 16 groups of 4, top score in each group adanvces) should expect 4.9 such casualties if the groups are completely assigned at random. So... 6 is a tad high but not way out of whack.
I've been travelling and don't have time to listen to all the tracks yet. I can't wait to listen to yours since I now know for a fact that it's good :)
You have an insanely good memory. I rounded some of the scores for the sake of, well, looking more like scores. ^ ^ I hope you've travelled somewhere nice sir!
the SD of each judge's score is pretty even too, all between 1.2 and 1.5 iirc
i wanted to do inferential stats but it turns out that only metalrenard's scores had a normal distribution (shapiro-wilk, p = 0.091)
