The mixing in this is very, very nice and there are some interesting elements to the sound design of this piece! A lot of different, and well thought out layers in this. Sometimes it can get a little repetitive. I think it would be neat if you collaborated with a rapper and maybe even a vocalist as well to make full use of this track, because this would be a solid rap beat. Very nice!

D'awww~! Thanks, Jordi. <3

I'm in love with this.

I've scouted you for the audio portal! I understand that you're quite new to making music, so starting off simply is always a good idea. Get a feel for the sort of structures and sounds you like to experiment with. This is what you've done here! It would sound very nice as background music in a game. It can get a little repetitive but it's very nice nonetheless. I don't think the repetition for this sort of track gets on my nerves or anything.

Yea. I'm working on learning how to do key changes properly and make progressive music as well. I still don't 100% understand music theory though, I just kinda look up scales and chord charts and go by ear. Thanks for the review, and thank you so much for recommending me for the portal. =D

Hehe hey Spadezer! I was going to echo what Connor said. I would say that there are better techniques that could be used to separate the synths. Different stereoshaping and different EQ settings. It doesn't sound so noticeable listening on speakers, but on headphones it's as if there's very little in the centre of the field. Saying that, compositionally, this is a really great track! I particularly enjoyed the dubstep parts and the tempo shift! Very nice! :)

Spadezer responds:

Sweet! Thanks. It's cool to hear such high praise from you.

About the stereo shaping, I tried out a maximizer that I've never used and I guess I got careless with the panning in that, but I don't feel it detracted to much from the main enjoyment. I could be wrong though. Thanks for the feedback

I heard this in the trailer and I really enjoyed it, glad you uploaded it!

Troisnyx responds:

Eh, thank you! ^_^ To me it's no Mio/Homura, but an outpouring nonetheless. So thoroughly overjoyed to see you again, and glad you enjoyed it.

A collab between you and Runey would be amazing. I love that part at 30 seconds where the guitar comes in. Super uplifting! Really great job and well deserved frontpage!

Bosa responds:

Awesome! Thank you very much! :)

This is sooo good!! You're damn talented.

There are some strong melodies in this. I'm sorry to hear that you were going through a hard time, and equally glad to hear that it's mostly now over. Your feelings come across well and the execution of the intentions behind this song was successful. I really like it a lot.

Dubwolfer responds:

Thanks! I made this using the Beatwave app. It's really fun! Check it out if you like making tunes!

Hey there.

So, this isn't the usual type of music I'd listen to, so I don't have much to compare it to, although it does give me some Prodigy vibes. I think structurally, this track is pretty good! It could get a little repetitive but the way you decided to break it up using the samples was really smart. Sometimes, I think they were used for a little too long, but that's just me! For a week of using FL, this is pretty great. Well, it's pretty great even for not using FL for a week. The mixing is tight and clean.

Very nice work!

Composer & vocalist. One half of Forest Elves, also often found making music with LucidShadowDreamer. I also enjoy encouraging other musicians on NG and getting to hear inspiring music :)
