I'm not really sure what rayman1220 is talking about, sort of an odd comment to make. This sounded almost like a Disney reprise, very nice! The mixing feels like it gets a little muddy at times, mainly due to the frequency of the cymbals if my ears don't fail me. Really lovely though!

SteveSyz responds:

I totally understand with the final mixing being muddy, it hasn't gone through a professional master yet haha (maybe one day!). But thanks overall! I'll definitely look over the cymbals and underlying percussion in the future :D

Good work :)

This is really gorgeous.

SilverPoyozo responds:

Thanks EW!

I have to admit that while I've been watching the competitors this year and you are one artist that I've held in high regards and have high expectations for, I've never truly taken enough time to listen to what you've made. That is the sad truth and it is only myself that is missing out on that!

You are a seriously talented individual. Gorgeous vocals and really brilliant track altogether. It reminds me somewhat of the style of the J-Electro group Capsule. Such a nice track!!

garlagan responds:

compliment on vocals is a huge honour coming from you!
Capsule are pretty cool so that's great to hear!

Now I need to go and re-watch Memoirs of a Geisha. There's something about this piece that is really reminiscent. The level of quality in the songs submitted in this year's NGADM is really above any other year. It's genuinely incredible. You've outdone yourself with this piece Peter.

EvilRaccoon responds:

Thanks so much etherealwinds! :D

okay wow, so what you've done with my voice in this is super cool. you have this talent for being able to mold whatever instrument you're using it on a magnified level to really get your desired effects and I think that, to me, is what makes your pieces so special all of the time. (@LunacyEcho, I wasn't making those sounds or vowel noises haha, johnfn cut my singing to make it sound like that ^_~)

my favourite part about this piece is actually probably the piano composition, especially twinned with the sounds of the playground voices. there's a real beauty about this song that I've not really heard from you in the past. I think the decay on the piano ends a little abruptly, perhaps that's an error with the render, however it would have sounded more complete with a subtle fade-out. I think that's probably what you intended anyway though!

yeahhh, it's a shame steamy and zippy couldn't enter this round, there's no doubts that it would have been a boss battle round to say the least! congratulations on getting through by default nonetheless. with a piece like this, no person can say that you don't at least deserve your place in the next round! ^ ^

I can't wait to hear more of your work!! well done sir~

I scouted you so that any tracks you upload will appear in the Audio Portal. All the best!

I'm not much of a metal expert to be honest ~no surprises there~ but I do enjoy listening to it now and then, especially the more melodic metal. This is one of those times where I can really appreciate a piece. Good luck!! <3

PirateCrab responds:

I'm glad you can appreciate it, especially if this isn't the kind of genre you listen to! Means a lot, cheers buddy! :)

The way you mold audio to fit your vision is really something else. This is really nice.

Love you too.
