They're not saying anything. Not one of these five are saying anything. They're just glowing.

XD Thanks man. Much appreciated

This was very enjoyable! The same critique for the piano as I made in my last review for you on your NGADM audition track, but this is really nice. The mix is pretty good too! Some really enjoyable sounds too. I'm not sure I'd say this is orchestral ^_~ it's certainly a very interesting take on the original though! I prefer this version too! And that tempo speed up was pretty unexpected. I love unexpected composition choices.

MysteriousPresence responds:

Thanks for the review friend ! =3
Yeah well I'll definitely work on velocity ! X)
Thanks for all these kind words and reviews ! I hope we will see each other in the NGADM (lol nope cauz I'm not gonna pass the auditions :p)

Ooh I love the part at 0:58 when the strings come in! The piano sounds a little dehumanised - it sounds as if all the notes are a very similar volume, so I'd go over each individual notation and and perhaps edit the volume of each individual note, and also the timing of the notes, so that they don't sound so totally on-beat. I think that would really improve the dynamics of the piano performance! I love that distorted electronic guitarish synth that comes in at 2:22 too. Especially playing along with the melody of the piano. The mix sounds quite clear too, the instruments are placed well within the mix.

Really enjoyable!

MysteriousPresence responds:

Hey thanks for the review !
Yeah I think I should have do something with velocity as you pointed out ! I will work on that in my future productions ! The tip about timing will be helpful too, I actually never thought of that. =3
Thanks again (oh and I love this guitar synth too =D) !

Organ and erhu sounds so nice! I'd have put a bit of reverb on the erhu :) This sounds very dramatic and ominous though. The drawing looks amazing too, and it all comes together very nicely. Thank you for uploading this!

MysteriousPresence responds:

Thank YOU for the review ! :p
Well the thing is I wanted the erhu to sound like oriental voices, and I don't know if it would have been recognizable if I had putted some reverb on it. But I noted this advice !
Thanks again ! =)

It's very nice hearing the finished version of this! :) great job!

Thank you Jordi <3

Found myself getting lost in this! Very nice. You're very talented when it comes to sound design - the way you carve the details into your songs. Gorgeous!

JeremyKingVA responds:

Thank you so much!

This sounds very sweet and has some nice ideas and melodies. The instrument choice is very nice too! The timing and placement of the vocal stems at about 02:01 sound a little rushed, but I very much enjoyed listening to this. Newgrounds needs more quality Celtic music!!

JeremyKingVA responds:

Thank you very much -- and I agree wholeheartedly in regards to NG needing more Celtic music!

Funny you should bring up the timing at 2:01, because I just took note of that for the first time myself after uploading here, haha. I created a number of different mixes for this track and shuffled things around, and I completely glossed over that somehow. It's a simple enough fix, so I might just boot up the project file, re-render the track, and replace this with the corrected version. :)

I really liked this! ^_~ Excellent use of sounds to create something this beautiful!

EctiBot responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it :D.

Well this is just lovely. Reminds me of Tomb Raider! Some of these VSTs sound very familiar. It's gorgeous.

EctiBot responds:

Really glad you liked it :D!! I totally forgot to write in the description, but I use a Lap Harp library in this that might sound VERY familiar to you ;), really like the sound of it :D.
Thanks for the feedback!

This is gorgeous! This paints a lovely picture. One thing I would say (and this is my inner vocalist speaking), while as Teddy said, you've used Shevannai beautifully and for the most part, the performance sounds realistic - make sure you keep in mind the limitations of human lungs! Singing along myself from the beginning for example, I would get to the second phrase (at 10 seconds) and then take a breath. You'd need to have lungs of steel to sing those continuous notes with that amount of force behind the voice, from 0:00-0:23, especially without your voice shaking! The only note I have. Keep making incredible work okay? Wonderful stuff.

Grandvision responds:

Ah thank you for the review. Yes I was having doubts that the singing itself wasn't authentic due to how long the notes play out, which is actually something I don't like to do, I like to make tracks more authentic these days but haven't used choir or vocals in the past a lot so have some things to learn, definitely know that it can't be sung that long, perhaps some minor breaks between would have helped, it's even better since there's an inhale option for this library that makes it even more authentic for breaks to happen.
